Welcome to the online home of the Queensland Irish Association Pipe BandqueenslandirishPB@gmail.com
The Queensland Irish Association Pipe Band (QIAPB) is a social band of amateur pipers and drummers from a range of backgrounds and levels of experience. We play under the leadership of Pipe Major Bruce Grice, Pipe Sergeant Geoff Flint, Drum Sergeant Colin (Buzz) Ennis and Drum Corporal Mark Kindness.
The band practices every Wednesday night at the Irish Club on Elizabeth Street in Brisbane City. Most Friday nights you will also find several members selling raffles and playing a few tunes downstairs at the club.
On the first Friday of every month (roughly) we play a regular show in the Queen Street Mall and at Mick O’Malley’s Irish Pub in Brisbane City, and also play at a few other venues around town and beyond. Check out our calendar, below, for current information about upcoming rehearsals and gigs.
If you’re an eager piper or drummer to-be, QIAPB offers lessons on Monday nights for learners who intend to continue on to play with the band. Find out more here.
The QIAPB’s new CD, "One for the Road", is coming soon. Sign up for our register of interest to receive updates about the release date.
